All equipment rental collections are from Ben Lomond Base, not the ski village. Find us at the junction of Blessington Road and Ben Lomond Road, approximately 18 km below the alpine village.

BOOK YOUR EQUIPMENT
Choose eligible hire equipment or a package online. Snow chain hire and retail purchases are arranged at Base. Check the Snow Report and planned operating conditions before travelling.
VISIT BEN LOMOND BASE
Stop at Base at the bottom of the mountain road. Our staff will help with equipment collection and fitting before you head up.
ENJOY THE SNOW
Once you're ready, travel to the mountain in suitable conditions. Return your hired gear as directed by the rental team.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL — GOOD TO KNOW
Where do I collect my rental equipment?
All rental equipment is collected at Ben Lomond Base at the junction of Blessington Road and Ben Lomond Road, before driving approximately 18 km up to the alpine village. Equipment is not collected from our mountain ticket office.
Can I hire just skis or a snowboard without a lift pass?
Yes, equipment rental options are available separately from lift and rental packages. Visit the online shop for the current options and prices.
Do you offer ski and snowboard equipment for children?
Yes, we offer equipment for adults and children, subject to available sizes. Booking ahead helps our team plan for your visit.
Can I hire winter clothing without booking skiing?
Yes. Snow jackets, pants and snow boots can be hired separately, subject to availability. They're a good option for people visiting for snowplay or sightseeing.
Can I hire gloves, goggles or beanies?
No. For hygiene reasons, these personal items are not hired. Gloves, goggles, beanies, socks and other winter accessories are available to buy at Ben Lomond Base.
Are snow chains available to hire?
Yes. Snow chain hire is arranged in person at Ben Lomond Base. Bring your vehicle's exact tyre size and check the road and chain requirements before driving up. Ask staff to confirm availability and vehicle compatibility.
Can I buy gloves, goggles, socks and beanies at Base?
Yes. Our retail area stocks winter essentials including beanies, gloves and accessories. Product range and sizes are subject to availability.
Do Winter Members get a rental discount?
2027 Winter Members receive 25% off eligible rental equipment at Ben Lomond Base, in accordance with membership conditions.
What if there is not enough snow or the lifts are closed?
Snow and weather conditions can affect skiing, snowboarding and snowplay. Check the Snow Report before travel. If lift operations are cancelled due to insufficient snow or a wind hold, the applicable booking credit or refund policy will depend on the product and your circumstances. Snowplay and toboggan packages have separate terms. Please review the conditions attached to your booking or contact us if you're unsure.
When is the best time to visit?
For the best chance of skiing and snowboarding conditions we generally suggest visiting between late June and late August. Every season is different, and snow cover and lift operations cannot be guaranteed.
