On 12 July 2025 Ben Lomond Base will transform into a winter wonderland as we host the Christmas in July Extravaganza.
Join us and celebrate a Winter Christmas (complete with real snow) as we eat, drink and become oh, so merry!
For the second year, Ben Lomond Base will host the ultimate winter experience – our Christmas in July Extravaganza!
Expect real snow, real Christmas trees, real mulled wine. In fact, expect the most real Christmas in July you’ve ever had. Get ready to eat, drink and be oh so merry!
Join us on 12 July 2025 for live music, fabulous food & drink vendors and a whole host of wonderful festive workshops.
In 2024, tickets sold out ahead of the event, so make sure you secure yours early. Tickets for 2025 are on sale now.

Snow Play
Begin your day at the Base where you can hire winter clothing, snow chains and toboggans before heading up the mountain.
Enjoy a morning of tobogganing, snowball fights, and snowman building. Make beautiful family memories and see the most incredible scenery in Tasmania’s largest alpine area, Ben Lomond.
FEAST
Once Jack Frost starts nipping at your toes, return to Ben Lomond Base to warm up around our fire pit and watch as a feast is prepared on flames before your eyes.
Enjoy hot chocolates, mulled wine, spiced cider and smores around the fire while listening to Christmas Carols being sung as everyone returns from a day on the mountain.
Experience
Whether you love crafting Christmas wreaths, want to build your first gingerbread house from scratch, or want to become a Tasmanian whisky pro, we have the workshop for you.
Ran by local artisans and producers these masterclasses will up your Christmas skillset and leave you feeling Christmassy for weeks!
