Join us and celebrate a Winter Christmas full of festive cheer and a range of local Tasmanian produce.
For the third year in a row, Ben Lomond Base will host the ultimate winter experience – our Christmas in July Extravaganza!
Expect real snow, real Christmas trees, real mulled wine. In fact, expect the most real Christmas in July you’ve ever had. Get ready to eat, drink and be oh so merry!
Join us on 11 July 2026 for live music, fabulous food & drink vendors and a whole host of wonderful festive workshops.
In 2024/2025, tickets sold out ahead of the event, so make sure you secure yours early.

Snow Play
Begin your day at Base where you can hire winter clothing, snow chains and toboggans before heading up the mountain.
Enjoy a morning of tobogganing, snowball fights, and snowman building. Make beautiful family memories and see the most incredible scenery in Tasmania’s largest alpine area, Ben Lomond.
FEAST
Once Jack Frost starts nipping at your toes, return to Ben Lomond Base to warm up around our fire pits.
Enjoy hot chocolates, mulled wine, spiced cider and smores around the fire while enjoying live music and entertainment acts.
Experience
Whether you love crafting Christmas wreaths, or want to become a Tasmanian whisky pro, we have the workshop for you.
Ran by local artisans and producers these masterclasses will up your Christmas skillset and leave you feeling Christmassy for weeks!
