On 6 July 2024 Ben Lomond Base will be transformed into a Christmas in July Extravaganza! Join us and celebrate a Winter Christmas complete with snow, seasonal drinks and music, feasts cooked over fire and a European-style Christmas market.
This year Ben Lomond Base will be host to the ultimate winter experience, our Christmas in July Extravaganza. Expect real snow, real Christmas trees, real mulled wine! In fact, expect the most real Christmas in July you’ve ever had. Get ready to eat, drink and be oh so merry!

Snow Play
Begin your day at the Base where you can hire winter clothing, snow chains and toboggans before heading up the mountain.
Enjoy a morning of tobogganing, snowball fights, and snowman building. Make beautiful family memories and see the most incredible scenery in Tasmania’s largest alpine area, Ben Lomond.
FEAST
Once Jack Frost starts nipping at your toes, return to Ben Lomond Base to warm up around our fire pit and watch as a feast is prepared on flames before your eyes.
Enjoy hot chocolates, mulled wine, spiced cider and smores around the fire while listening to Christmas Carols being sung as everyone returns from a day on the mountain.

Whether you love crafting Christmas wreaths, want to build your first gingerbread house from scratch, or want to become a Tasmanian whisky pro, we have the workshop for you.
